ParticipantHi Steve,
What solution would you suggest to solve this issue? Thanks!

ParticipantHi Nick,
I am sorry to hear that you are facing similar problems. However, your case seems to be different. I cannot even ping the device. I have been suggested to fill a Technical Support ticket. That I will do soon.
Your descriptions suit better the issues I have with a second device. It is described on http://www.multitech.net/developer/forums/topic/mtcdtip-l4e1-279l-868-gw1-unable-to-factory-reset/#post-32721 . I am still waiting for an answer on this.
By the way, how did you manage to connect the micro-USB port? I guess you opened the device’s case, right?
With best regards
Sebastian

ParticipantDear Steve,
I understand that the PoE injector that I am using could not be delivering the recommended power for this model of devices. However, I find curious that I am using the very same PoE injector to powerise others V2.1 devices. Those devices are able to answer PING on 192.168.2.1
Do you really think that the PoE injector could be the cause of not being able to answer ping? I doubt it, considering that the other devices are working. I would like to explore other solutions while I order a 75W PoE.
Thank you for working together.
With best regards

ParticipantHi Steve,
I confirm I tried (again) all those values for username and password. No success at all.
There is no connection at https://192.168.2.1. Actually, a port scanning detected only the port 22 open.
I tried to reset to factory configuration. Still the same. The only thing it changed was The fingerprint for the ECDSA key when I try to ssh in. Still have no access to any of the credentials you provided.
Thank you for guiding me in the resolution of the problem.

ParticipantHi Steve,
Thank you for your response. The following are the details of the PoE injector that I am using with the Gateways.
Microsemi
Power over Ethernet Midspan
Model: PD-9501GC/AC
INPUT: 100-240 VAC – 50/60 Hz, 1.5A
OUTPUT: 55V – 1.1ABy the way, I have two of these PoE’s. However, it seems to me that one of these does not work (always blinking in Orange). Thus, I am using the same PoE for all my three GW. One at a time, of course.
With best regards

ParticipantDear Jason,
Thank you very much for your prompt response.
We are working with Satellite back-hauling for a LoRaWAN network. The idea behind this experiment is to study the impact of satellite back-hauling in a LoRaWAN network. For such, we want to have two packet forwarder running at the same time. This means, one packet forwarder connected to the Network Server through a satellite link. While the second one connected to the Network server using a regular Ethernet link, as reference.
I have been able to run two copies of chirpstack-gateway-bridge, each one with different configurations. Both receive UDP, but one forward through the LAN, while the second one forward to a Satellite Terminal.
The second experiment that we want to run is to have the gateway working for two different network servers. Something that we know it is not considered on the design of a LoRaWAN network, but it could be potentially doable if two packet forwarder can operate interdependently. Again, for researching purposes.
I am aware that I am pushing for a non-standard use of the device beyond on what it has been designed for. Even though, I would really appreciate any help you could give me to achieve this goal.

ParticipantDear Jason,
Thank you for your response. I suggest to clarify the current support for this gateway, in order to help others to save time with unfruitful tries.
Please, keep me posted about the support of Basic Station for v2.1

ParticipantDear Jason,
Thank you for your fast response.
Do you have any estimate date when it would be available?
If no, will the Basic Station forwarder for the v1.5 (spi) work on a v2.1 gateway, maybe resigning to the LoRa-based localization? -
