Mike OMaraParticipant
Yeah, I am just trying to get some other ideas because I am trying to prototype a unit using the mDot with the screw connector, and I think it would be really helpful to use my Molex antenna because of the size, weight, and ability to contort it easily to fit in a smaller area. Thanks though!
Mike OMaraParticipantI am actually in the US, this is the mDot we are using: http://www.multitech.net/developer/products/multiconnect-dot-series/multiconnect-mdot/ I believe yes it is from the starter pack so an adapter will be needed. Thanks!
Mike OMaraParticipantThe thing I was wondering about was https://www.digikey.co.uk/products/en?keywords=Molex%20105262-0002%20antenna this is the kind of thing I have, one of the UFL antennas. I was just curious if there was a way to hook that up to the mDot without having to buy an UFL Male / SMA Female adapter, but I am guessing not.
Mike OMaraParticipantHi Andrew,
Thanks for the inputs! I actually have that Molex antenna, but how do you connect it to the mDot? Do you need to buy a connector or something or am I just thinking to hard about it?
Thanks,
MikeMike OMaraParticipantNevermind, I figured it out. I needed to comment out the name and passphrase lines and uncomment the id and key lines. Thanks for your help Jason!
Mike OMaraParticipantHey Jason,
I tried again now and it is now compiling, but giving me the following errors:
imgur.com/a/OzsP8
When I put the program onto the mDot, it shows up but does not change the EUI and Key (which I am assuming is caused by the declared but not referenced errors). What do I need to do? Thanks!Mike OMaraParticipantOk, I am trying this. It says the build system is under heavy load and is timing out right now, so I think I will have to wait a bit to make sure it works but I will let you know!
Mike OMaraParticipantAfter some trial and error I was able to discern that subnets of 255.255.255.0, 128, and 192 all worked with the rest of the information while anything above that did not.
I figured out that to access the gateways new IP configuration I needed to set my computer to static and use the same IP information to be able to log into it again.
Thanks for the reply Jeff
