how can i confirm that the update was successfully?

the /etc/opkg/mlinux-feed.conf still points to 5.1.8, do i have to edit it manually?

when will u fix the mtcap update file?

ok,

my problem was that /var/volatile/do_flash_upgrade needs to be owned by root

thats only an problem for mlinux >= 4.0.1, maybe u can add it in your documentation

i think the easiest way would be that you update the

SRC_URI = “http://libmpsse.googlecode.com/files/libmpsse-1.3.tar.gz”

in

http://git.multitech.net/cgi-bin/cgit.cgi/meta-mlinux.git/tree/recipes-support/libmpsse/libmpsse_1.3.bb

with your mirror or https://storage.googleapis.com/google-code-archive-downloads/v2/code.google.com/libmpsse/libmpsse-1.3.tar.gz

so yocto will search for it there.
