Well I’m still using my SF100 here in France on SFR …
Still working well after many years (one power supply changed only !!)
But here we have 4G/3G now … I’ve just read that in France 2G should be available up to 2021/2024 depending of the carrier …But it’s a pity that Multitech discontinued that product 🙁

Official version is 1.47 (for 800 or 100) …
Last time there was a beta test programm where we could test the version … is there still this kind of possibility ?

The last answer was : too much job for the dev team to implement it … (that answer is old for more than one year … seems not to be interresting for them !!)
May be one day … in a new upgrade (last one is 1.5 old already !)

sorry for the moment I didn’t get the time to search for an alternative solution….
As it cost me a little amount to buy the SF, developp our solution, test it, it annoyes me to change directly ..
If we all send support cases for that feature they may take care out it that time !!

is it due to a harwarde limitation (should not …) or because of the soft ?
I think people who use such solutions (SF100 or others) are people who need to be up to date about technology for themself or their customers …
So our products need to be upgraded regularly (as you did with the beta test program a few versions ago) and compliant with the new tech … Otherwise, concurrents will have better products than ours and our solutions won’t be competitive… 🙁

thanks for your post.
I’m really disappointed by their answer.
As now my dev is ready I’m going to sell my solution and most of my customers need to know if the sms is received or not.
So in most of the cases they won’t take my solution and they will go to an other provider 🙁
The only solution for me now is to buy an other system from an other manufacturer 🙁
That’s really annoying and for such a product an ack is not an option but a ‘Must to have’ function !!!!
On my Iphone smsdelivery is installed in one minute and with a few Ko, is free and works on a linux too …

Jeff K told me that there was no news at the present and as I mentionned him : I really need the ack for commercial purpose. (sure i’m not the only annoyer to ask !!)
Can it be a ‘priority’ functionnality in the next release please !
I just added that function on my Iphone (not reliable at 100% but well …) so that’s possible 😉 !! I’ve read somewere : just do it !! <- ;o)

Brian EARTHParticipantHmmm by the way today I get an alert (we made a little prog that check the result codes) and i get several sms in status : 2 wherease we received them on the phones … May be that could help you 🙂

I added this topic to ask (as discuted in one of my portal case) this functionnality to the team for the next upgrade.
Actually we can get a receive status via the api, but this is only between the SF100 and the provider.
For commercial purposes I need to prove to my customers that the SMS has been sent (function already ok) and has been received on the destination mobile (missing). As they pay for a number of SMS I have to give them a report of what has been sent and what has been received.

I’ve just upgraded to 1.44
Does this version include the fix ?
Anyway I’ll keep on using the sf as usual, so I’ll tell you if it’s ok.
I’ve noticed that SFR is actually having random ‘lost’ of power in the building (same with my nokia or iphone I’ve still full signal (or 2 levels on 3 on the SF100) and randomly I can’t get the network) and I sometimes loose vocal communications.
So I put the option reregister every hour now, but that can also be an other reason … (can, be because with the periodic registration it should reset).
Anyway the hangs started before the loose of power … SFR said they changed an antenna in the city but I guess I’ll buy soon a repeater to improve the signal …
I’ll tell you if it no longer hangs.

This afternoon the sf just hangeg and I’ll give you the logs in the portal opened case tomorrow morning !!
I’ve checked for the length and i’ve seen that sometimes the messages are cut (wherease in the log with the AT commands i can read the whole message)… may be that could be a search track !
I’ll make the logs tomorrow (in a file : better for read) and make the test required by Jeff !
Sorry the Sf hanged only a few hours ago !!! (good for me !! lol)
