I mean that not all data send it by the mdot received by the gateway
is there a document or video explains how the gateway received the data
because sometimes it told me “channel enabled” despite I have not a lot of device that sends to this gateway
thank youbenmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantHi
yes I set the appeui and the appkey and i successfully joined to the network
but when i send for example
at+send=lora1
OK
and it is recieved
at+send=lora2
it write OK but I don’t receive anything in the server or in the node redJuly 12, 2019 at 4:27 am in reply to: [ERROR] update_firmware: Failed to back up current firmware #28204benmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantHi
i have the same prob
i falsh the mdot and the freq change to 915 but i works in 868 freq
how did you change the freq plz
thanksbenmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantthank you sir
it works
but when I write at+freq
it display US915
and i work in 868 MHZ in EU (france)
and even it is mentioned on the module mdot “model mdot 868”
I modified : network name and passphrase and subband=1 in eu
but it can’t joined because doesn’t the same frequencybenmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipanthi

yes I have loaded the drivers of MTUDK2-ST-MDOT Developer board and the module mdot
and it is sucessfuly shown as a drive however it does not enumarte the two ports
benmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantyes sir it was MultiTech MTUDK2-ST-MDOT Developer board
speed 115200
data 8 bit
parity none
stop bits 1
flow control noneIjust connected the board with a micro USB to the PC
i can’t command it by just the micro USB ?
what I should do?benmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantthanks Mr Jason
please ,Do you have any suggestions for the antenna that I can use with the mdot.
I’m in Europe (868 Mhz) and my sensor will be installed in a building ,
I want to choose a performant antenna wuth a VSWR <= 2
thank you
best regardsbenmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantyou can also bild your own antenna
benmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantI am choosing the adequate components for the design of a sensor that can communicate with a gateway “base station by multitech” already installed.
and when I contacted the community of multitech, he said that I must choose a lorawan module not lora module and he propose mdot and xdot and there is another module “RN2483” it is also a lorawan module;after when I search about M2M and IoT, I understood that M2M is between nodes and IoT is to communicate with a gateway (transmit data and receive an ACK).
my mission is to build a sensor that can guarantee a long range without the lost of package
benmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantHow?
is there a document that can help me understand this point
best regards mr Jasonbenmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantif I want to define the type of communication between the end device and gateway in the LORA architecture, it is M2M or IoT?
benmessaoudimene@outlook.comParticipantthanks mr Jason
if I understand, the mDot end Xdot are lorawan module with an integrated CPU so I can consider them as End node in lorawan topolgie , also I can connect directly digital and analog sensors.
can I programme those module and modify it Spreading factor or code rate , transmision power;;; to have an effective communication with the gatweway,
because my mission is to build a new sensor that is performant and can receive and transmit data in long distance into through the buildingI found another problem when I search the difference between the mdot and xdot , it is mentioned in web site of multitech that
1-the mdot is for M2M communication and xDot for IoT communication:
https://www.multitech.com/brands/multiconnect-mdot
https://www.multitech.com/brands/multiconnect-xdot
2- here it’s the opposite , the mdot for IoT and xdot for M2M
https://os.mbed.com/platforms/mts-mdot-f411/#mdot-pinout-diagram
https://os.mbed.com/platforms/MTS-xDot-L151CC/#example-programs
3 and in 3rd site I found m2m and iot
