Hi,
I’m trying to use use the rCell Modem as a routeur.
I have a device A connected through LAN to do the modem B, and I want to access using SSH it via the modem cellular connexion. I can’t change A gateway to be the modem (it is a backup connection with expensive data prices).
I tried to configure the firewall to redirect the modem port 8022 to the A port 22 activating the MASQUERADE but it doesn’t work.
When using tcpdump/wireshark to check the packets on A, I can see the incoming packets coming from the WAN to A, with their origin IP (and not B IP). So A answers to the request through its gateway and thus the communication doesn’t work.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks,
Colas
Hi Colas
For that application to work you would need to change device A gateway to be the modem.
You didn’t mention device C, the main network router and gateway on the LAN.
I am unaware of any other solution.
