Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Am I right in thinking that this device will *only* work with MultiTech LoRaWAN gateways? The instructions talk about ..
“Note: If you do not want to configure the device, configure your gateway
to match these device default network parameters:
■ name: MultiTech
■ phrase: MultiTech
■ sub band: 1 (only applies to US/915 MHz Frequency Band)”
Which I assume is a MultiTech only Gateway feature?
Is it possible to use this device with alternative LoRaWAN gateways?
Thanks.
Hi Pat
The MTDOT-BOX is not limited to MultiTech LoRaWAN Gateways, the MTDOT-BOX
can be configured to work with any LoRaWAN compliant Gateway.
The MTDOT-BOX does come pre-configured from the factory, but can be
reconfigured to work with other 3rd party LoRaWAN Gateways.
See the link below for how to configure the MTDOT-BOX.
-Best Regards
Thanks great, thanks a million. I’ll have a go!

Hmm. I guess I am still a bit confused ..
That document says ..
In OTA mode, the device only needs to be configured with a network name (+NI=1,name) and network passphrase (+NK=1,passphrase). The network session key, data session key, and network address are all automatically configured.
I guess I just don’t follow that at all .. LoRaWAN typically does not talk about “network name” and “network passphrase”.
OTA requires DevEUI, AppKey and AppEUI .. I don’t know what the network session key, data session key and network address are or how they are automatically configured. Do they correspond in some way to DevEUI, AppKey and AppEUI ?
Sorry if I am being thick!
Pat
Hi Pat
For AppEUI use at+ni=0,xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
For AppKEY use at+nk=0,xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
where hex Byte = xx
