When receiving a OCG-E module from distribution there seems to be no U-boot or anything but the initial RomBoot. Is there a simple way to burn our OS image other that the resistor shorting process and debug port process of loading U-boot etc.?
No, the only way to load code when the unit is in that state is to use SAM-BA with the serial debug port or the USB device port.
You don’t need to perform the resistor short though because there is no boot code in the NAND, so it the unit is staying in RomBOOT mode on its own.

If you have trouble with the module (trying to flash in the image) or you have more than one module that was received that booted to ROM rather than U-boot, then please create a support case and mention the serial numbers.
