How to determine the local time zone

Good day –

Does anyone know any method to obtain the local time zone?

We understand we can set the time and time zone using the AEP web interface. But what if the Conduit moves to another location and clients cannot access the system?

We discovered the GPS NMEA string $GNZDA is supposed to return hour and minute offsets from UTC. So at AEP->Setup->GPS, we checked the ‘Enable NMEA-Only Mode’ box. Using gpsmon, we see $GNZDA being reported. But the time zone offsets from UTC are always zero, no matter what time zone value is selected for the Conduit using AEP->Setup->Time->Time Zone.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
